This Thursday and Friday saw many of our aXcelerate team head down to the Gold Coast, so that we could demonstrate our student management system at the 2016 National Vet Conference. This conference is always a highly valuable experience for aXcelerate and this year we were able to have our founding and managing directors Reay and Julie stop by, as well as our Business Development Manager, Chris and our Client Success team members Katie and Ayden.
Each year, the National Vet Conference attracts one of the biggest and diverse crowds of VET professionals in the country, ranging from academics and policy makers to RTO providers. The conference aims to provide participants with networking and professional development opportunities and open dialogue on how to further develop the VET sector. The theme for this year’s conference was ‘Celebrating VET’ and focused on the multiple streams currently changing and developing the sector, particularly policy and reform, RTO management and compliance, training and assessing, VET Shapers and the growth of eLearning.
These topics were conveyed through multiple guest speakers, panels and presentations from a number of experienced and knowledgeable individuals within the educational and vocational sector. Highlights from the two days included a session delivered by the popular comedian Jimeoin, a networking lunch on how to prepare for AVETMISS reporting and a session on creating brain friendly culture to drive performance within an individual’s VET business.
There was also a presentation on the importance of effective systems for RTOs in order to keep up and maintain compliance. This was presented by business and RTO consultant Tamara Simon, and highlighted to aXcelerate how important streamlining and integrating these compliance processes are for RTOS to maximise effectiveness – especially when it comes to using a student management system.
This notion also created a perfect opportunity for aXcelerate to show off the new features we’ve been working on in order to help streamline and minimise the time involved in these compliance processes. Chris, Katie and Ayden were able to show stand visitors our brand new calendar updates, developments for CRICOS students, tools to aid AVETMISS reporting, and the workflow automation feature; which has the ability to automate administrative and operational tasks created by an organisation.
The 2016 National Vet Conference also provided the team with the chance to catch up with many of our older and valued clients, as well as connect with prospective new clients and other like-minded professionals in the industry. The conference was a melting pot for ideas, and aXcelerate have definitely come away from the experience with even more ways to develop our system, based on the feedback and thoughts expressed during the multiple sessions.
Reay and Julie and the aXcelerate team would like to give a big thank you to all of our clients who visited the aXcelerate booth over the two days. Our team always enjoy the chance to catch up and see how you’re travelling with the system and are always appreciative of your support.
We’d also like to give an even BIGGER thank you to the clients who agreed to take part in our artwork for our 2016 conference displays. Without your support and agreement to display your good looking faces on our banner, our display would have never received the same amount of attention and our message wouldn’t have been nearly as effective.
