Kate attributes this progression largely to a very “determined” board of directors (Karen Yu, Wade He, and Biao Ni), each of whom have invested a lot of time and effort to make ACC what it is today. And since ACC measures its success by the number of students that graduate, as well as by the positive impact those graduates have on their respective workplaces, Kate says they value feedback from both the students and the employer clients.

Kate Fancourt is an administration officer for Australian City College. She is a self-proclaimed “freak organiser” who will organise anything, including a good game of netball—her favourite sport. If she were a superhero, Kate says she’d be like Wonder Woman… only 10 million times better. “I would like to do many things,” she says. “For instance, I would like to heal people with cancer; I would love to be in two places at once; I would like to be able to talk to animals.” She may or may not also want the power to manipulate human minds.
