Last Friday, one of our key Sydney representatives David Kaczynski put on his best suit in order to represent aXcelerate at the 2016 Optus My Business Awards.
The Optus My Business Awards is one of Australia’s most prestigious and longest-standing national award programs, which focuses on recognising the best businesses and individuals from across Australia. The event aims to identify and acknowledge the achievements of Australia’s best business operators and past winners of these awards include national brands such as Boost Juice, Sumo Salad, Sign-A-Rama and ModelCo.
This year, aXcelerate was selected as a finalist in the Optus My Business Award Information and Communications Technology category and we were thrilled to be included in such esteemed company.
This year the award event was held at Four Points by Sheraton in the Sydney CBD and was a glamorous black-tie affair to celebrate the success and hard work of some of the countries leading businesses (big and small).
The evening started off with networking, drinks and canapés before the room was introduced to the official host for the evening, comedian Vince Sorrenti who then kicked off the official program.
While aXcelerate did not win our designated our category, the awards still provided us with the opportunity to connect with many other innovative and like-minded businesses as well as the supporters and event partners of ‘My Business’. ‘My Business’ have been providing innovative business strategies and expert advice to Australian SME owners for the last 25 years and are dedicated to ensuring all businesses, no matter how big, small, old or young should be recognised for their entrepreneurship, passion and dedication to the Australian community and economy.
Each finalist was also given a trophy to recognise their success in being selected as a finalist out of the hundreds of applicants that applied for the awards. A good night was had by all and provided aXcelerate with the opportunity to make some valuable new connections. A big thank you to David who represented aXcelerate on the night and to the Optus My Business Team who coordinated the event.
