Implementation is one of the most integral parts of the aXcelerate system. Ensuring both new and old clients are trained and supported as they navigate through our student management system is one of aXcelerate’s founding principles. After all, without the proper training and the knowledge it brings, it becomes twice as hard to effectively utilise the features of any new software system, aXcelerate included.

Research has shown that when companies make the decision to implement a new software system into their business processes, the crucial step of incorporating an end-user strategy is often forgotten. According to the Harvard Business Review, this is a common but significant mistake. Their research argued that without training staff properly, organisations cannot expect to reap the full benefits of the investment spent on the new software. Research findings has also shown that companies which invested in thorough and tailored training processes experienced the least resistance to change from employees, as the benefits of this change was being clearly communicated to them. This resulted in better cohesiveness amongst their teams and ultimately improved their overall productivity levels (Smith, 2014).

To ensure that a team can become highly proficient and successful in utilising new technology, Harvard Business recommend finding training options which are specifically tailored to a company’s requirements and involve a high level of interactivity rather than a scenario where the trainer lectures or talks at those they’re training.

With this in mind, aXcelerate have been making a conscientious effort to grow their implementation, in order to ensure we have the human resources to effectively meet the training needs of our clients. Since January we have acquired two new staff members Chris Morrell and Caroline Jones, who both come from a strong training background and have been responsible for facilitating the implementation of new business processes in previous companies. Together with Katie, both Chris and Caroline aim to provide our clients with as successful an implementation as possible. The team will also ensure that clients are being trained in methods and in content that is most relevant to their business and most suited to how they learn. No doubt many of our clients will be talking to Caroline and Chris (if they haven’t had the chance to already) as they seek support with our student management system. We welcome Chris and Caroline to the aXcelerate team and are excited to have them on board!
